Rangoli Slams Writer Of Karan Johar's Takht For His Political Views; Says KJO Is 'Bringing Invasion'
There’s time for Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Takht to go floors but the film seems to have already landed in hot waters. Hussain Haidry, who happens to be the writer of this upcoming period drama, is being called out on social media for lending support towards the anti-CAA protests. A couple of his old tweets have gone viral, which, as per a section of the internet, are against Hindus. Some users have been demanding #BoycottTakht due to this very reason. Well, Kangana Ranaut’s sister and manager Rangoli, too, has bashed the writer and filmmaker Karan Johar.

The tweets by Hussain read, “My guess is the Upper Caste Women who are Sanghis and pro-Hindu Rashtra today will be betrayed in the end,” “This is State-sponsored Hindu Terrorism. And Hindu-sponsored State Terrorism.” A netizen also shared a screenshot of Hussain Haidry attending Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh protest. In response to the same, Rangoli accused KJo of dividing the country through his film. She also mocked him by calling him a method director.

“Papa jo Yeh kya ho raha hai bhai, Aap   Islam envision pe film bana rahe ho ya phir desh mein Islam envision laane ki koshish kar rahe ho, method acting toh suna tha method direction hahahahahaha,” read Rangoli’s tweet.

In the past, Karan Johar was accused of promoting Islamophobia through Takht, to which, he had said, “My dear, you are talking to a filmmaker who's directed a film called My Name is Khan. My sensitivities to religions across the world will always be on point. That's something I believe in as a human being, as a citizen of this great country and generally as a world citizen. Sensitivities to everyone and everything are something that we all take very deep care of. Also, with Takht, this isn't a story that I wrote. History wrote this story, I'm only telling it."

Meanwhile, Takht stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles and is slated to release in 2021.
